2N Intercom System

2N Intercom was founded in 1991 in Prague, the Czech capital. It was founded by the telephone systems specialists Mr. Hofmann, Mr. Pihan and Mr. Brychta. In 1992 the company built its first own telephone station called ATEUS 280. The station was notable for its low cost and features that Czech competitors did not have .

Becoming an Intercom System Company

All the first years the company showed steady growth and invested in development. For example, the analogue GSM gateway, released in 1998, helped to save on cell phone costs.

Developments in telephone communications led to the fact that by the end of 2000, 2N began producing its own IP intercom system. The intercom system, that 2N manufactures, works on the SIP protocol. The first model 2N began producing was called the Helios IP Vario. Customers liked the model a lot and it was on the market for more than 10 years. In 2013, 2N released a new generation of outdoor panel – HELIOS IP VERSO.

Axis Door Intercom?

2N’s growth was appreciated by many companies and specialists in the low-voltage market. This led to the fact that in May 2016, 100% of 2N company was bought by Axis Communications, a well-known manufacturer of CCTV (video surveillance systems). Nevertheless, the products did not become known as Axis Intercom or Axis 2N intercom, but retained its former and well-known name to customers.

Today, the 2N video intercom system consists of door entry panels (2N Style, 2N IP Verso, 2N IP Solo, 2N Force), indoor monitors (Indoor Touch, Indoor View, Indoor Compact), indoor phones (2N Talk and IP Handset) and system equipment, among which are remote connection gateways and elevator modules. 2N is quite a professional IP intercom system, so we were very interested to make this comparison.
