BAS-IP and Condo Control Announce Integration to Enhance Residential Living Experience

BAS-IP, a leading developer of IP intercom systems, and Condo Control, the all-in-one platform digitizing operations for more than 2 million residents, today announced a strategic integration. This collaboration creates a single source of truth for resident data, eliminating duplicate entry and enables seamless synchronization of resident data between the two systems, delivering a new level of convenience and data accuracy for residents and property managers in Canada.

The key feature of this integration is the synchronization of the resident list from the Condo Control platform with BAS-IP intercoms. Instead of dialing apartment numbers, visitors scroll an alphabetized smart directory, tap a name and the call panel now displays a phonebook with residents’ names, providing a more intuitive and user-centric approach.

The Condo Control system serves as the primary interface for property administrators to easily add, delete, and update resident records. These changes are automatically transferred to the intercom system’s smart directory via the BAS-IP Link management platform, which acts as the middleware. BAS-IP Link also manages the calling process, ensuring reliable communication.

This enhancement was implemented with the preferences of Canadian residents in mind, who are accustomed to receiving calls on their personal mobile numbers rather than on a fixed in-apartment device.

“Our mission is to digitize and streamline community operations,” said Brian Bosscher, Condo Control. “Partnering with BAS-IP lets managers update data once and gives residents the friction-free, mobile access they expect.”

Main benefits:

  • Zero double entry – resident records flow automatically.
  • Calls reach the right person first time – fewer lobby dial-backs.
  • Mobile-first experience – residents can answer from any mobile phone.
  • Always current: phone numbers and move-ins/outs sync instantly.

The calling process has been enhanced for maximum flexibility:

  • Direct-to-Resident Calling: Visitors can call a specific resident on their personal phone number or in the BAS-IP Link mobile app by selecting their name from the smart directory or dialing a specific code.
  • Apartment Calling: The traditional option to call all residents of an apartment simultaneously is still available.
  • Hybrid Model: Both options can be supported concurrently on a single calling device.

How the Integration Works:

  • Registration: The administrator registers a resident in the Condo Control system and adds their contact information.
  • Synchronization: The BAS-IP Link server automatically sends the resident’s data to the call panel’s Smart directory.
  • Call: A courier or guest selects the resident by name or dials their code.
  • Answer: The resident answers the call from the panel on their personal mobile number (via a connected Twilio SIP trunk) or in the BAS-IP Link app.
  • Access: The resident can remotely open the door.

The integration also ensures automatic data updates. Any changes to a resident’s phone number, the deletion of a user, or a mobile app session in the Condo Control system are immediately reflected in the BAS-IP Link forwarding scheme, guaranteeing that contact information is always current.

This integration represents a significant step forward in creating smarter, more convenient living spaces. By combining BAS-IP’s cutting-edge IP intercom technology with Condo Control’s powerful property management capabilities, the companies are delivering a solution that meets the modern needs of residents and simplifies the workflow for administrators.
