BTicino Intercom System

What is BTicino?

BTicino is the large Italian company, manufacturer of design electric fittings (sockets, switches), low-voltage electrical equipment, as well as intercom systems and access control systems. The family company was founded in 1936 by brothers Arnaldo Luigi and Ermanno Bassani.

Since 1989, it is part of the Legrand Group. Of course, this has helped the company a lot, and today it is sold in more than 60 countries. Bticino is especially popular among installers of electrical fittings and smart home integrators.

In no way do we want to offend our colleagues, but Bticino intercom systems can hardly be called professional. They are really beautiful devices, which will perfectly fit into any interior. The first customers of Bticino intercom systems were the owners of private villas. However, many of our clients, especially smart home integrators, ask for more than design, and often compare our products.

BTicino DES – New IP Intercom system

And now, more recently, Bticino has introduced its new IP intercom system for large residential complexes, which includes entry panelsindoor monitors, and a concierge monitor. The IP system is called DES (Door Entry System). This product even received the RedDot in 2021, congratulations to our colleagues!

However, to keep the perspective balanced and informed, we put the Bticino DES head-to-head with our very own BAS-IP system. In this direct comparison, our goal isn’t simply to identify which system has more features, but to pinpoint the functionalities that truly matter in terms of practical application for various facilities.

When diving into the analysis, it becomes apparent that the BAS-IP system stands out not just due to its comprehensive feature set but also due to its potential to transform any facility’s intercom needs. From smaller residential complexes to sprawling commercial facilities, the BAS-IP system proves to be a versatile and capable choice. It consistently surpasses the conventional intercom paradigm with an array of advanced capabilities that Bticino’s DES system, despite its merits, struggles to match.

In the subsequent sections, we will delve further into this comparison, shedding light on how the BAS-IP system’s features offer comprehensive solutions for any facility’s intercom requirements. As always, this discussion is conducted in English to ensure accessibility for our diverse readership.
