BAS-IP and Lumi: Integration Overview

BAS-IP and Lumi have partnered to deliver a seamless integration between IP intercom technology and smart home automation.

This integration combines BAS-IP’s in-home door panels and touchscreens with the Lumi smart home ecosystem (including the Lumi Wallpad and Lumi Resident app). The result is a unified living experience where communication, access control, and smart home management solutions operate seamlessly.

This integration allows residents to receive voice calls and video from BAS-IP door control panels directly on the Lumi Wallpad screen or Lumi Resident app.

Use cases:

Receiving Internal Video Calls on Lumi Devices

When a visitor calls from a BAS-IP entrance panel, residents can instantly receive the call on the following:

• Lumi Wallpad screen (Full support for devices running SIP 2.0 standard).
• Lumi Resident App (application solution for some apartment projects).

The integration supports both real-time audio and video communication, making it easy for residents to interact with visitors from anywhere.

Remotely unlock doors while working/on a call

While on an internal call via the interface for supported Lumi devices/apps, residents can remotely unlock doors or gates with a single touch, without switching to another application.

Control Lumi smart home directly from the BAS-IP indoor monitor

The system also supports installing the Lumi Life Plus smart home app directly onto the BAS-IP in-home touch screens. This transforms the BAS-IP Intercom screen into a multi-functional central control panel, allowing users to easily manage:

• Lighting, air conditioning, curtains.
• Security sensors, smart switches.
• Quickly activate live automation scenarios.

Residents can therefore use a single touchscreen device for both intercom communication and complete smart home management.

⚠️ Important technical note:

The BAS-IP screen must use Android version 8.0 or higher.

The Lumi Life Plus app is installed through Lumi’s provider. When using this method, the app will not be able to automatically update to the latest version; technical assistance is required for new version updates.
