BAS-IP and KONE work together to Revolutionize Building Access

BAS-IP, a leading manufacturer of IP intercom systems, is working together with KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, to integrate BAS-IP’s AA-14 series panels with KONE elevators. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the evolution of smart buildings.

Through this integration, building occupants can now enjoy a seamless and secure experience when entering and navigating their building. By using their authorized credentials at the BAS-IP panel, residents and visitors can not only access the building but also conveniently call the elevator directly to their desired floor. The integration leverages KONE’s advanced API, (Application Programmable Interface) allowing for real-time communication between the intercom system and the elevator system.

“This partnership with KONE aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing innovative solutions that enhance the security and convenience of buildings,” said CEO BAS-IP. “By integrating our intercom systems with KONE elevators, we are creating a more efficient and user-friendly experience for building occupants.”

Key benefits of this integration include:

  • Enhanced security: Seamless integration of access control and elevator systems.
  • Improved convenience: Users can call elevators directly from the intercom panel.
  • Increased efficiency: Streamlined building operations and reduced wait times.
  • Future-proof technology: Integration with KONE API enables compatibility with smart building systems.

How it Works:

The integration leverages KONE’s advanced API to enable seamless communication between the BAS-IP intercom system and the elevator system. When a resident or visitor uses their authorized credentials at the BAS-IP panel, the system verifies their identity and automatically calls the elevator to their desired floor. This eliminates the need for manual elevator calls and provides a more efficient and convenient experience.

By combining their expertise in intercom systems and elevator technology, BAS-IP and KONE are paving the way for more integrated and efficient building solutions.
